Pat McAfee Unsure About Wrestling Future Due To Hectic Schedule

While he came up short against Adam Cole, Pat McAfee impressed at NXT TakeOver: XXX. During Monday’s edition of the Pat McAfee Show, the former NFL punter discussed his wrestling future. He said he’s unsure if he’ll wrestle again due to his schedule but he’s glad he treated the business with respect unlike some other celebrity appearances.
“To be honest [if I’ll wrestle again] is a question I’ve been asking myself a lot since Saturday,” McAfee admitted. “I heard Triple H … in a press conference say some very nice things. I appreciate that, and then he talked about a conversation we had a couple years ago about how I wanted to be a weapon for WWE. He thought it was as a commentator, the entire time I thought it was as a wrestler. A lot has happened since we had that conversation.
“I’m not 100 percent sure. I was so incredibly thankful I got the chance to do it, especially at a TakeOver, but what do I do? Am I a guy that can do that [full-time]. My schedule is insane. I sound like such a petty prick being like ‘my schedule is so insane,’ but it really is. We have a business here. I haven’t even had a chance to think about that yet. There’s a lot of conversation about me doing more and I’m very thankful for that but I didn’t even think about that until Sunday. “
