Original Plan For Sami Zayn At Elimination Chamber(Possible Spoilers)

Sami Zayn is set for possibly the fight of his life tomorrow night when he challenges Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original plan, which was written “many months ago,” was to have the former ‘honorary Uce’ to lose.

The report notes that Jey Uso would then turn on Zayn, leading to the rumored tag match featuring Zayn and Keven Owens taking on the Usos at WrestleMania 39. However, it seems WWE may be in a bit of a bind as Zayn has become quite popular and a “major TV ratings mover.” Quarters for Smackdown have been consistently up, with Zayn being heavily involved in the main event picture.
