Orange County Mayor Confirms WWE Was Deemed An Essential Business By Governor’s Office

WWE RAW will be live from the WWE Performance Center tonight and they aren’t skirting any legal restrictions to do so.
Orange County mayor Jerry Demings explained the situation today. “Originally, they were not deemed an essential business,” Demings said. “With some conversation with the governor’s office regarding the governor’s order, they were deemed an essential business.”
No. He acknowledged that WWE had a positive test of a performer recently, and suggested that WWE is "like a family", and that they'll be self-policing themselves.

No reasoning was given as to why WWE is apparently an essential business during a worldwide pandemic, but they officially have the legal green light to go forward for now.
