Orange Cassidy On Facing Jon Moxley, Kris Statlander Previews Match With Ruby Soho
– ADVERTISMENT –

In a recent interview with “Barstool Rasslin’,” Orange Cassidy shared some details about the trio of consecutive Canadian Destroyers he exchanged with Penta El Zero Miedo on the latest edition of AEW Dynamite.

Although Cassidy defeated Penta to retain the AEW International Championship, it wasn’t an easy task as the reigning champion had blacked out for a moment during the match.

Cassidy said, “I blacked out. I went to another place.”

When asked where that place might be, Cassidy replied, “I don’t know.”

Cassidy will defend the AEW International Title against Jon Moxley at All Out 2023 later tonight, and he shared his perspective on the “unpredictable” bout. He said,

“That’s the thing, I like to take pride in the fact that, when I wrestle, my opponents don’t know what I’m going to do. That’s why I’m very successful. I feel that I always keep them guessing. I’m unpredictable. Jon Moxley is the same. You don’t know what Jon Moxley is going to do. He has a lot of weapons.”

“There are things I haven’t shown, there are things he hasn’t shown. It’s actually the unpredictability of it that we don’t know what’s going to happen, I think that’s what you can expect. I really don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Kris Statlander will defend the TBS Championship against Ruby Soho tonight at AEW All Out 2023 in Chicago, IL.

In an interview with NBC Chicago, Statlander offered her thoughts on the upcoming title defense, noting that this bout finds both wrestlers at a very different point than in their previous confrontations. She said,

“I’m very excited for that because Ruby is someone I’ve wrestled twice before but I’ve never gotten a chance to beat her. She’s always gone the better of me but at this point in our careers we’re both very different people from those first two times that we’ve wrestled. I’ve overcome so much due to my leg injuries and now I’m a champion; she’s had a little bit of a personality change as well and she labeled me by name as the reason why she decided to go to the dark side, if you will. So there’s a lot… it’s not just about the title this match. There’s so much more depth to it. It’s not just about retaining my title, it’s about finally getting that win over Ruby — proving to her that she can’t always get the better of me every single time and that there’s so much growth from the first time that we wrestled.”
