Grayson Waller shares an experience when fellow wrestler Austin Theory came to his rescue, one day prior to the highly-anticipated WWE WrestleMania 40.
During an engaging video aired on the famed “UpUpDownDown” YouTube channel, Waller shed light on a perilous moment he experienced while dining. He was eating a piece of steak, which ended up choking him, but quick intervention from his tag-team companion saved him from a potentially dire situation. He expressed,
“He genuinely saved my life the day before WrestleMania. I was eating the steak and suddenly thought, ‘Something’s not right.’ I tried to wash it down with water, but to no avail, the water wasn’t going down as well.”
Waller narrated further “Meanwhile, Indi Hartwell is across from me, and I’m gesturing at her that I’m choking, but all she does is sit there with a smile. I was convinced that this is potentially the end for me, and what a disastrous timing! It would be the most embarrassing moment to die the day before my WrestleMania debut. Thankfully though, my tag partner comprehends the situation and steps in to save me.”
Waller’s interview is a testament to the comradery and close-knit bonds among WWE wrestlers, on and off the stage.
