Prior to the WWE Clash At The Castle event in Scotland, script wrestler Drew McIntyre mused on the significant transformation he has experienced since his leaving from WWE in 2014.

On Twitter, McIntyre focused on a June 2014 announcement on WWE.com, which highlighted his departure. He then pointedly drew attention to the tremendous evolution in his professional journey since that time.

Drew McIntyre tweeted:
“June 12, 2014:
Brodus Clay, Evan Bourne, Teddy Long, Curt Hawkins and other WWE superstars released.
I didn’t even make the headline.
10 years on, I am the headline. #WWECastle.”

Leading up to the blockbuster event, McIntyre plans to claim the WWE World Heavyweight Champion title for the fourth time. His opponent in this quest will be Damian Priest at this weekend’s clash in WWE Clash At The Castle.

This event will mark WWE’s inaugural pay-per-view program in Scotland, a development McIntyre has been enthusiastically advocating for within WWE for several years. The much-anticipated show is scheduled to take place at the OVO Hydro venue, located in Glasgow.
