In an eventful match on AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho of The Learning Tree maintained his supremacy in All Elite Wrestling by successfully defending his FTW Championship against the aggressive Minoru Suzuki. The face-off took place on the July 24, 2024 edition of the wrestling program.
Suzuki, in his typical robust form, brought immense aggression to the match, leaving his signature mark in the form of sweat, tears, and even some blood in the ring as he unleashed a barrage of chops. Despite his forceful performance, Suzuki could not dethrone the incumbent “For the World” champion. Jericho cunningly secured his crown with a low blow followed by a Judas Effect.

Post-match, in a sudden twist, Suzuki landed a Gotch-style piledriver on Jericho, only to be assaulted by Bryan Keith and Big Bill. In response, Katsuyori Shibata dashed onto the scene, aiding Suzuki in fending off the attackers and forcing The Learning Tree to retreat.
