Odyssey Jones, real name Omari Palmer, who was formerly associated with WWE, saw his contract terminated in September in the wake of domestic violence allegations by his then-partner, Meileith Nunez. Palmer has consistently denied these allegations, dismissing them as untrue. To counteract, he managed to secure a protective order against Nunez, citing intimidation and threats. Following this, he launched a defamation lawsuit against Nunez on January 20, 2025, accusing her of presenting lies about abuse that led to his forced separation from WWE. He filed for over ,000 in damages, alleging that Nunez presented these fraudulent claims to the parent company of WWE, TKO.
Nunez, however, strongly refutes the allegations of fabricating accusations and maintains her stand. She filed a police report in May 2024, which allegedly contained images of injuries she attributes to Palmer. Her plan is to file a counter-suit against Palmer for harassment and is pushing for a restraining order against him. Furthermore, she provided a letter claiming that TKO’s investigation discovered plausible grounds for Palmer’s discharge, implying he misled his former lawyer over a harassment report. Given Palmer’s public figure status, his lawsuit might need him to prove actual malice.
Nunez expressed her views, saying, “This is yet another example of Mr. Palmer attempting to distort the truth in order to control the narrative and avoid accountability. The timing of this lawsuit suggests a clear retaliatory motive. Mr. Palmer never pursued legal actions against me until after he was terminated.”
