Chris Jericho needs a tag team partner to challenge Big Bill & Ricky Starks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW Worlds End 2023, and Bill’s former partner nZo states it won’t be him.
Jericho was set to team with his Golden Jets partner Kenny Omega at Saturday’s pay-per-view event, but Omega had to pull out after he was diagnosed with diverticulitis.
During a K&S WrestleFest virtual signing, nZo noted that he is not the one fans expect to show up as Jericho’s mystery partner. The former WWE Superstar said,
“Would I? That is definitely something that is not in the cards right now because I am a free agent. I don’t know what the deal is over there, I don’t know who is doing what, who has the pencil, I don’t know who is wrestling who. I just know that I’m damn proud of Big Bill holding the tag team titles. The last thing I would ever want to do is break his leg and take it away from him.”
I love that guy. I’m pulling for him, I’m rooting for him. I’m not trying to beat him up. Everyone knows I would beat him up, I would beat the hell out of him. [Smiles, implying sarcasm]. Seriously, Big Bill, how unbelievable is that story. What he overcame, where he’s at right now, nobody is happier than I am to see the success of that man.”
nZo parted ways with MLW earlier this year and has been performing at independent shows since, most recently at ACW King Of Maryland 2023 in late November.

However, it seems that his former partner nZo, also known as Enzo Amore, will not be the one to fill that role.
Originally, Jericho was supposed to team up with his Golden Jets partner Kenny Omega for the event. Unfortunately, Omega had to withdraw from the match due to a diagnosis of diverticulitis. This left Jericho in search of a new partner, and fans have been speculating about who it might be.
During a virtual signing for K&S WrestleFest, nZo made it clear that he is not the mystery partner that fans are expecting. As a free agent, he stated that he doesn’t know what is happening in AEW and who is involved in the decision-making process. He expressed his support for Big Bill, praising him for holding the tag team titles and stating that he would never want to take that away from him.
nZo recently parted ways with MLW (Major League Wrestling) and has been performing at independent shows since then. His most recent appearance was at ACW King Of Maryland 2023 in late November.
