NXT aired a new episode on Christmas day and the move paid off as they saw an overall increase in viewers compared to last week.
This week’s (previously taped) broadcast on USA brought in 831,000 viewers, which is higher than the 795,000 viewers NXT brought in last week. NXT didn’t face competition from AEW Dynamite this week due to the upstart promotion taking a week off from broadcasting new content.
NXT also brought in a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is down from the 0.27 the show brought in last week.
AEW will return to broadcasting live next week from Jacksonville with their “Homecoming” themed show, while NXT will be a 2019 Year-End Awards show.
