WWE made a point to address the concern about Kyle O’Reilly’s real-life health status on the latest NXT Injury Report, stating that those rumors were “not properly fact-checked.”

Per usual for its weekly report, Matt Camp handled the honors and led off with the “in-ring” ailments suffered by O’Reilly to close out this past Wednesday’s rendition of NXT.

“I can report the rumors surrounding Kyle’s status were highly inaccurate and not properly fact-checked,” stated Camp “Per WWE’s medical team, O’Reilly does have a neck injury and is currently not medically cleared. Any other reports that did not specifically come from WWE are simply untrue.”

Concern was greatly amped up fans and talent alike late Wednesday evening when attendee photos of O’Reilly surfaced on social media, leaving users with the rumor that O’Reilly suffered a seizure.

Soon after the rumors began to run rampant, Ryan Satin reported that “Kyle O’Reilly did not suffer a real seizure after NXT tonight and did not suffer a medical episode. According to WWE sources, it was all just part of storyline. Happy to hear he’s okay. I’m also told that there was no intent to make it look like he was suffering a seizure. That just spread due to what was reported back from the few fans in attendance.”

For the rest of the Injury Report, Camp lists Io Shirai as “day-to-day” after being booted by Toni Storm during a photoshoot.

Isiah “Swerve” Scott beat down Leon Ruff after NXT’s underdog defeated him in singles competition. Scott tossed Ruff in the corner via fireman’s carry, causing Leon to sustain back and neck injuries. He however is “medically cleared” to compete.
