It’s all good news when it comes to last night’s NXT. The black and gold brand won the Wednesday Night War against AEW after tying with their rivals last week. In addition to that, the NXT Injury Report has no new injuries to report. Both Adam Cole’s title defense against Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley’s barnburner with Shayna Baszler went off without a hitch.
Johnny Gargano, who was last seen exiting the NXT arena on a stretcher in October, returned to confront Balor, ensuring that Adam Cole retained his belt. Injury Report host Matt Camp has no updates on Gargano’s current status, throwing into question whether he’s ready to compete or if he’s ignoring doctor’s orders to come back too soon.
