Welcome back to another Monday Morning Q&A where I toss out some questions to get a feel of how you guys and gals are feeling about certain topics.
So here are 5 questions I’d like to toss out for this week. I’ll give my answers, too, but the key here is that I want to know what YOU think! So make sure you chime in!
We’re only at 4 matches. Clearly, they’ll have quite a few more. I’d imagine we might see a trios match of sorts with Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, Sting and some New Japan people thrown in there, maybe. Toni Storm defending her title or Kris Statlander doing the same could always be on the table. Likely Orange Cassidy against Zack Sabre Jr for the International Championship. I don’t know if that whole KENTA vs. CM Punk thing will play out, but I doubt it, to be honest.
At this moment, I feel like so much of this card could be so random that it’s almost impossible for me to predict who is available and what matches these two companies could have agreed on to get The Elite involved and Bullet Club and so on. There are just too many other oddball options on the table.
It seemed like a normal episode of Dynamite to me. Nothing anymore different than how Raw and SmackDown are from each other. That means it carries over all the positives, but also the negatives. There was some good in-ring action and some segments I had no problem skipping over entirely. Par for the course.
I dig the use of the intro theme. That’s cool. Can’t say the same about how Wardlow’s whole journey as TNT champion has been to do nothing, lose the belt, win it back, lose it and keep up this game of hot potato, though.
Raquel. We already have Becky Lynch and Zoey Stark involved in the match. If Trish is there, not only is she taking a spot away from someone who they should be grooming for a push, but she’s only going to make the whole match about those 3 interacting and then, the Damage CTRL side. I do expect Trish to show up and to interfere and cost Becky the win, but I don’t think she’ll do that as a participant of the match itself.
I’m hoping not. Shotzi isn’t going to be viewed by as many people as having as much of a chance to win, and the more options in the match that fans can imagine being victorious, the better it’ll serve the match. IE, when Shotzi starts climbing, people will assume she won’t win. But with Bayley heading up to the top, they’ll be excited she might end the match.
But more than anything, if they’re pushing the split between she and Iyo Sky, they should interact in the match. It’ll be better to have them both fighting at the top of the ladder, rather than Bayley just getting involved from the outside.
