The wrestling community wasn’t surprised after the recent series of confrontations that have sparked between Oba Femi, Trick Williams, and Je’Von Evans. The much-anticipated confirmation is here; all three rivals will be vying for the NXT Championship at the forthcoming premium live event, WWE Stand & Deliver, scheduled for April 19, 2025.
The proclamation was made on the recent NXT episode. Evans, amidst his monologue about surpassing Femi and Williams, asserted that had he one more second in the Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline last December, he would have emerged as the no. 1 contender to Williams instead of Femi for the WWE New Year’s Evil.
Femi contradictory declared Evans as the future of NXT, but insisted that he’s the prevailing incumbent. Williams, growing increasingly desperate to reclaim his title, was heavily focused on sidelining Evans for a head-to-head, but was taken aback when the Triple Threat match was announced by Ava and retaliated on Evans immediately.
The trio were subsequently ambushed by Darkstate, the anomalous group that hasn’t conveyed their motives for targeting these wrestlers, among others. The strike on Williams may however negate speculations about him as the covert helmsman of Darkstate – unless it’s unveiled as a diversive strategy.
As the stage is set for WWE Stand & Deliver, the present matchup list is as follows:
- Triple Threat Match for the NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Trick Williams
- Six-Woman Ladder Match for the Vacant NXT Women’s North American Championship: Contestants include Kelani Jordan, Zaria and 4 others yet to be announced
- NXT Women’s Championship Match: Featuring Stephanie Vaquer (c) and an opponent to be announced
