NXT Airing On Tuesday For Additional Week Due To NHL Playoffs

With the NHL’s conference finals round of the playoffs set to kick off soon, it’s been confirmed by USA Network that NXT will be remaining on Tuesday for an additional week.
NXT is already set to air this Tuesday, September 1, on USA thanks to the NHL airing its games on Wednesday. However, a newly updated USA Network schedule of programs seems to confirm that NXT will also be airing next Tuesday as well, on September 8. While it’s unknown just how long the NHL Conference Finals will last, it’s likely that all companies wanted to play it safe in case they needed the extra time.
This week’s NXT is planned to be a big one as it shifts to Tuesday for the first time. Not only will a huge, four-way 60-minute Iron Man Match occur for the vacant NXT Championship, but a six-man tag team match between Legado Del Fantasma and Isaiah Scott & Breezango is also set to happen, with much more likely happening on the night of NXT’s Super Tuesday.
