As is well known, there’s an ongoing development in the cooperation between WWE and TNA Wrestling, marked by Jordynne Grace’s participation in NXT. Grace is lined up for a match against Roxanne Perez in the upcoming NXT Battleground 2024 pay-per-view occasion.
As per an account from Fightful Select, Grace’s WWE debut in the 2024 Royal Rumble event was the turning point for the existing union between the two wrestling entities. Mickie James made her mark appearing for WWE while affiliated with TNA, even though she wasn’t under contract during that period. Reportedly, WWE also reached out to Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay (known as The IIconics) in 2022, but to no avail, as the duo remained under contract to TNA Wrestling.
Concerning the WWE Royal Rumble 2024, the decision to bring in Grace was made merely a week prior to the event. According to WWE correspondents, she left a noteworthy and positive impact and showcased TNA excellently, leading WWE to express an immediate interest to invite her back.
When WWE leaders reconnected with TNA recently, they weren’t aware of Scott D’Amore’s departure from the company. Both WWE and NXT authorities confirmed this unforeseen change doesn’t alter their association with TNA.
Reports suggest that numerous WWE roster members have expressed receptiveness to performing with TNA. Notably, Natalya had indicated her desire to collaborate with Grace. A WWE NXT insider tipped Steve Maclin as an apt choice for a crossover, given his in-depth knowledge of NXT and the talent nurturing process.
