Randy Orton last competed on the May 20, 2022, episode of WWE SmackDown where The Usos defeated RK-Bro to unify the RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Championships. A few days later, it was announced that Orton had suffered a legitimate back injury and would be out of action for an indefinite period.

WKRD Wrestling is reporting that Randy Orton is expected to return to WWE soon after a year-long hiatus. In fact, Orton could return as early as Money In The Bank 2023 this Saturday.

Orton’s tag team partner Matt Riddle will challenge GUNTHER for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Money In The Bank 2023.

Considering Riddle has a 3-on-1 disadvantage against Imperium this Saturday, it only makes sense for Orton to make his much-awaited return at the O2 Arena on July 1st.
