Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks, despite being on opposite sides of the wrestling divide, have remained close and in regular contact.

In early 2022, Rhodes surprised many by leaving AEW, the company he helped create with the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Tony Khan. He made a stunning return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 and has since gone on to establish himself as the biggest babyface in professional wrestling, winning the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble and unsuccessfully challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39.

The already rampant speculation about his relationship with The Elite increased further soon after his AEW departure, but Rhodes has confirmed that he and the Young Bucks still speak regularly. In Rhodes’ upcoming Peacock documentary comprehensively covering a variety of facets of his career, including his little five year “excursion,” footage from All In and several BTE episodes has been featured.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has now revealed that the trio is actually in contact more now than before. He noted,

“Regarding the Young Bucks cooperating with Cody Rhodes on the Peacock documentary and releasing some BTE footage and Rhodes saying they talk regularly, the three actually talk more now than even before.”

Rhodes’ WWE documentary, titled “WWE American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes” will premiere on July 31st. You can check out the trailer below:
