NJPW Wrestling Satsuma No Kuni (4/28 & 4/29) Full Results
New Japan Pro Wrestling presented two big shows this week, as the Road to Wrestling Dontaku winds down. Wrestling Satsumi No Kuni was presented in Kagoshima on Wednesday & Thursday. The shows were headlined by blindfolds, title defenses, and a homecoming win for the returning Kota Ibushi.
Ibushi returned to active competition on Thursday, humbled by losing his first IWGP World Heavyweight Title defense back at Sakura Genesis. The Golden Star received a modicum of revenge against The United Empire, bloodying Jeff Cobb for the mighty Hawaiian’s post-match attack on April 4th.
Roppongi 3K once again bested El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru, cementing YOH’s place as Desperado’s IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title at Wrestling Dontaku, but also putting SHO in place to challenge for the belt again down the road.
The IWGP Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa have been driven mad by their over-a-dozen matches against Zack Sabre Jr. & Taichi on the Road To Dontaku, seeing both matches in Kagoshima end in wild brawls.
