New Japan Pro-Wrestling returned to action, after 110 days with no events. Their last event was held in late February, before the Coronavirus outbreak caused the company to go on hiatus during Japan’s state of emergency.
Together Project Special was a mystery card event, held with no fans in attendance. It featured a series of tag team matches, previewing the matchups in the upcoming New Japan Cup 2020. Major highlights include young lion Yuya Uemura putting on considerable mass, Ibushi & Tanahashi’s growing cohesion, the teasing of a new “Grandmaster,” and Tetsuya Naito debuting a new move.
