NJPW Sengoku Lord Results (7/25) EVIL Defuses Timebomb In Nagoya

13 days after shocking the world, EVIL defended both of his IWGP Heavyweight Titles against Hiromu Takahashi on Saturday. The former Los Ingobernables de Japon stablemates battled for nearly 35 minutes in a main event that featured liberal interference from Dick Togo. After the match, Taiji Ishimori attacked Takahashi, sending a message to The Ticking Timebomb that he was coming after Takahashi’s IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship.

Ishimori wasn’t the only one making challenges after the match. The LIJ Civil War continues with EVIL’s dubious reign, as former IWGP Double Champion Tetsuya Naito ran to the ring to help Takahashi, and to tell EVIL that the “rental period” on the IWGP Titles was up.

Naito: You've talked about justice a lot. Justice and darkness. Are you confused, EVIL? Two belts seem much to heavy for a guy like that. Rental time is over. Give 'em back.

Elsewhere on the card, LIJ’s Shingo Takagi defended his NEVER Openweight Title against El Desperado. The dirty trickster tried everything against Takagi, but like most, fell to a Pumping Bomber and Last of the Dragon. Also, Kazuchika Okada got revenge against Yujiro Takahashi, after the Tokyo Pimp cost The Rainmaker the New Japan Cup Final Match at the beginning of the month.

Yuya Uemura did his best to beat Taiji Ishimori in the opener, but Ishimori was determined to make a statement in the opening match, before making a bigger statement after the main event. Plus Master Wato was in action against Suzuki-gun, and Gabriel Kidd’s trial by fire continued against Taguchi Japan.
