Professional wrestling star Tetsuya Naito and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) have mutually decided to terminate their partnership.
Here is the official communication issued:
“We are eternally grateful for your support of New Japan Pro-Wrestling.”
“In the preceding weeks, multiple discussions were held between the management of New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Tetsuya Naito about the future course of Naito’s wrestling career. As a result of these significant conversations, we together agreed not to extend Naito’s contract with NJPW.”
“This decision was reached after detailed deliberation and extensive dialogue. The contract of Naito terminates on the most favorable terms with NJPW, who join his fans in wishing him continued success in whatever future engagements he decides to take on.”
“We at New Japan Pro-Wrestling deeply regret if this announcement has led to any worry amongst the fans of NJPW and Naito. Naito will fulfill all his forthcoming appointments before the conclusion of the Dontaku series on May 4 in Fukuoka and looks forward to your continuous support.”
The contract of Naito with NJPW concluded on January 31st. Since then he has been working as a freelancing wrestler.
Notably, BUSHI will also be bidding adieu to New Japan Pro Wrestling.
The official announcement of his departure read:
“We appreciate your unwavering support for New Japan Pro-Wrestling.”
“Following due consultation and at his solicitation, NJPW has acceded to the exit of BUSHI after his currently scheduled appearances till May 4 in Fukuoka.”
“NJPW feels remorseful if this announcement has led to any worry or disappointment. We, along with his fans, wish BUSHI success in all his future ventures.”
