NJPW presents Best of Super Juniors 27 & World Tag League 2020 Finals (12/11) Full Card & Viewing Info

New Japan Pro Wrestling presents a double header main event in Nippon Budokan on Thursday. Both World Tag League and Best of Super Juniors will come to a thrilling conclusion, after nearly a month of brutal, blistering tournament action.

The 2018 Best of Super Junior winner Hiromu Takahashi will attempt to win his second tournament, as he faces heated rival El Desperado in the closing match of Thursday’s supershow. Desperado submitted Takahashi during block competition, and looks to prove that his win over the ticking Time Bomb was no fluke.

Takahashi has been wrestling with a slightly heavier step as of late, taking a more methodical approach to his matches than the chaotic fury that brought him to victory in 2018. Normally that would be enough to give him the edge, but the unscrupulous El Desperado has had even less mores than usual. It will be a hard-hitting affair.

Speaking of hard-hitting powerhouse matches, the World Tag League final will see last year’s winners, David Finlay & Juice Robinson face perennial finalists Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa. Both teams came to this year’s tournament with new fire. Finlay & Robinson have incorporated many tributes to powerful tag teams from the past, even pulling out The Doomsday Device against opponents.

Tama & Tanga showed up to the 2020 Tag League with fresh haircuts and new tactics. Tama Tonga has been submitting opponents with the Scorpion Deathlock, and the team has been a more focused unit as of late. Both teams are coming into the finals as the best versions of themselves, and sparks will surely fly at Budokan.

Elsewhere on the card, SANADA & EVIL will face off in tag action, after the two-time tag league winners were unable to take their new teams to the finals. Plus Wrestle Kingdom previews, as Kazuchika Okada teams up with The Ace and Toa Henare to take on Will Ospreay & The Empire. The show will kick off at 4am ET on NJPWWorld.com
