NJPW G1 Climax 33 Tournament Finals Confirmed

The NJPW G1 Climax 33 tournament, which will be held on Sunday morning, has its finals scheduled.

Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito will face each other after winning their semifinal matches. Okada defeated EVIL in his semifinal bout on Saturday Naito won his match against Will Ospreay to go to the finals.

Okada is competing for his third straight G1 victory and his fifth overall in his third straight appearance in the G1 finals. In 2012, he defeated Karl Anderson, and later against Shinsuke Nakamura, Kota Ibushi, Will Ospreay, and Kota Ibushi.

Naito is competing in his fourth G1 finals. In 2011, Naito reached the finals but lost to Shinsuke Nakamura before winning in 2017 over Kenny Omega.

The winner will earn the right to challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 18 in January.
