The eagerly-anticipated NJPW Sakura Genesis 2025 is slated for April 5, and will be hosted at Tokyo’s prestigious Ryōgoku Kokugikan.
A total of six championship battles will embellish the event, and here’s what the program looks like:
*IWGP Universal Heavyweight Championship: Hirooki Goto, the current titleholder, faces off against David Finlay.
*IWGP Global Championship: Yota Tsuji, the reigning champion, squares off against EVIL.
*IWGP Tag Team Championships: The formidable duo of Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi, the defending champions, take on the team of Jeff Cobb & Callum Newman.
*NEVER Openweight Championship: Konosuke Takeshita, the present title holder, is set for a clash against Ryohei Oiwa.
*NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships: Current champions, House of Torture, go against Bullet Club War Dogs.
*NJPW World Television Championship: Reigning Champion El Phantasmo battles Great-O-Khan.
* Also on the cards is Hiroshi Tanahashi taking on Shota Umino.
* Yuya Uemura will be squaring off against SANADA, in what promises to be an intriguing bout.
* Opening Contest: Katsuya Murashima will cross paths with Daiki Nagai.
