Bianca Belair shockingly lost the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship to Becky Lynch in a matter of seconds at the SummerSlam pay-per-view, and this loss has been critcized by the wrestling community. WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella has chimed in on the situation; in an interview alongside JJ Garcia with Scott Fishman after the show, she made it clear that she felt frustrated when she saw Belair lose the title in this manner.
“I can tell you what wasn’t my favorite moment, and it was when [Belair] lost,” said Bella. “That definitely was not my favorite moment. And I don’t know if I actually had a favorite moment because you know, I’m always back to the women, and I’m always for the women. And you have like someone like Bianca, who’s such an incredible talent, and you can’t help but get frustrated when you see moments like that, of a championship that meant so much and was lost within seconds.”
Garcia elaborated that he and Bella love both wrestlers, but they wanted to see Belair and Lynch have a longer match. Bella then shared her belief that this clash between two top stars could have been built differently.
Bella also stated that she’s happy to see fans back at WWE shows and noted that she had a fun weekend.
