Nick Patrick isn’t a fan of blood in professional wrestling, calling it “dangerous” and “nasty.”

Speaking on the latest edition of his “Monday Mailbag” podcast for AdFreeShows, the former WCW and WWE referee opened up about not having to experience heavy bleeding in WCW, why it was so dangerous back in the old days, and more.

On not experiencing heavy bleeding in WCW: “Bleeding didn’t become a thing until my WWE career… I seen Brad Armstrong zip one time. He used one of those surgical blades … they’re so, so sharp that you really can’t feel exactly what you’re doing. They couldn’t get [the bleeding] to stop…even with compression…they had to take him to the hospital.”

On the potential for infection or worse: “That s**t’s dangerous, and it’s nasty. Back in the old days … you didn’t know if guys had Hepatitis.”
