Nick Khan Discusses The Use Of More Blood In WWE

Recently in conversation with “LightShed Live,” WWE CEO Nick Khan discussed the incident involving Finn Balor’s head being cut open during his Hell in a Cell match against Edge at WrestleMania 39, and whether WWE would consider allowing more blood and violence in their programming.

Khan disclosed that WWE has contemplated modifying their policies to permit additional bloodshed during the third hour of Monday Night RAW. He said,

“Specifically talking to the 10 to 11 hour on Raw, it’s a three-hour program, 8 to 11 every Monday. Specifically, talking to NBCU and among ourselves about, ‘what do we do with that moving forward?’ Love where the product is now, but if you ask Triple H and ask others, ‘If we tweak this, a little more of that,’ what does that do to that 10 to 11 PM hour? It is basic cable, it’s not broadcast, we think NBCU would be supportive, but we’re not anywhere near a final conclusion on that. It’s definitely a conversation point.”
