Nick Jackson took to Instagram to reveal that he battled COVID-19 last September. The post explains why he was gone for awhile after AEW had their All Out PPV last year.
Jackson said, “Crazy to think there’s still COVID deniers out there in the world. I had a pretty bad case of COVID in early September that kept me bed ridden for nearly 3 weeks. I couldn’t taste or smell for 2 and a half months. At one point my whole body had hives on it and my doctor said it was definitely from COVID. Matt had to do the majority of the work in matches once I returned safely because I couldn’t catch my breath. My cardio is finally back but it took months to finally feel like myself again. Let’s protect each other and wear [a] mask.”
Several superstars in the pro wrestling industry have battled the virus over the past year and many have taken to social media to share their experiences with it. It’s safe to say that pro wrestlers appear to all be on the same page when it comes to how serious they believe the virus is.
We at Wrestlezone are glad to hear that Jackson recovered successfully and was able to get his career back on track.
