Chris Jericho kicked off AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest Night Two with a match against Shawn Spears, the first of five “labors” that MJF has set up for him. In a big win, Jericho overcame many struggles, including the stipulation that Spears could legally use a chair, to emerge victorious.

In a tough match against Spears, Jericho was able to dig deep and fight out of some early struggles, including a huge sit-out spinebuster from Spears that looked to rattle Jericho. Instead, the legendary superstar eventually fought back, and despite some interference from Tully Blanchard, Jericho still came out on top thanks to some help from Sammy Guevara, who came to ringside to even the odds. After slipping out of a grab by Spears and hitting the Judas Effect, Jericho had the win.

After the match, MJF came out onto the stage and warned Jericho that if anyone helps him out in any other matches, he’ll be disqualified. As for the second labor, MJF said it will be a no disqualification match against one of the most sadistic men to ever step in a wrestling ring. That man was none other than GCW World Champion Nick Gage, who shocked the wrestling world by coming out and staring down Jericho. Gage is quite a controversial figure in the wrestling industry for both his violent in-ring style and his infamous arrest for a bank robbery.
