Nick Gage Confirms Recent Rehab Stint, Announces GCW Departure

Wrestler Nick Gage and GameChanger Wrestling (GCW) have decided to go separate ways.

We earlier informed you, right from this platform, that Gage was absent at the GCW Homecoming event on August 24th. To explain his absence, GCW President Brett Lauderdale then revealed that Gage’s return to the ring remains uncertain.

Recently, while making an appearance on the “Blvd Buddies” podcast, Gage revealed about parting with GCW following his rehabilitation period.

For your convenience, highlights from Gage’s podcast discussion have been provided below:

About his GCW separation and relationship with Lauderdale: “Brett Lauderdale is not just a colleague but a true friend and a well-wisher. Surely, he has contributed significantly to my career growth. Although GCW will always be home for me, I owe an immense debt of gratitude to Brett, and his family. Disagreements often occur among friends and it is a normal thing. Possibly, we may sit down and talk things out someday… But life does not stop for anyone. One should keep moving forward.”

Regarding the news about any planned appearance at GCW’s Hammerstein Ballroom show in January: “Brett is paying exclusive attention to pursuing his personal goals, and I am completely engrossed in enhancing my personal brand, making stronger connections, and setting up a robust team.”

Addressing the gossip about his visit to rehab: “I am glad about my decision of going to rehab and I am not ashamed to admit that. I was exhausted. I realised I was heading towards the wrong direction and thankfully, I had real people who supported me. I went to rehab by choice and it has really proven beneficial for me. I left the rehab on my own accord, when I felt completely fit mentally and physically.”
