During a recent guest appearance on the “Insight” podcast, Nick Aldis, who is currently the SmackDown General Manager, shared his insights on WWE’s infinite potential associated in relation to the forthcoming transition to Netflix.
Below are some important takeaways from the podcast:
Speaking about Lee Fitting’s contributions to WWE, Aldis said, “Lee Fitting has indeed executed a splendid job. For a person of his caliber, the alterations he’s made may appear minor and straightforward, but to us, it’s a massive deal. The innovative shots he’s been producing are absolutely astonishing. Particularly, the stuff involving Sami and Jey in the upper levels of the arena and then descending. It raises the question, ‘why didn’t they implement this approach earlier?’ Sometimes, it’s hard to see the bigger picture when you’re too close to it.”
When discussing about WWE’s unprecedented growth potential, Aldis commented, “There is absolutely no boundary for WWE’s expansion. None. And these are not mere speculations but internal dialogues within the organization. We shouldn’t limit ourselves to being almost as big as the NFL. After all, both of us are going to be featured on Netflix. We need to expand our global reach even more. Considering the humble beginnings of the company to its current position, it’s easy to assume, ‘It couldn’t possibly get any larger.’ But that’s not what Nick Khan thinks.”
