In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth shared his enthusiasm for a potential fight between Toni Storm and Mariah May, which he imagined as the headline event at AEW All In 2024.

Commenting on Storm’s ability to command attention, Nemeth commented, “Toni has carved out a unique path for herself. Regardless of the context, she always manages to leave everyone (Comic-Con attendees included) with a memorable quote, such as ‘Are you ready to die? Because I am.’ Even if the audience isn’t at its most enthusiastic and the general interest in their match is low, they will remember that sentence above all else. Upon hearing them repeat it, the gathered public, who have quickly adopted Toni as their favorite, expressed their longing for her to get her retribution. Although it’s unlikely, I would love to see this fight be the headline event. They both have the passion needed, and it’s an absolute pleasure to watch their journey.”

AEW All In 2024 is set to take place on August 25, at Wembley Stadium, London.

In the same podcast episode, ECW legend Tommy Dreamer reflected on a brutal chair scene from AEW Blood & Guts 2024, which he perceived as a tribute to himself and Raven.

Dreamer commented, “I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mark, who is a huge ECW fan, and his brother were regulars at the arena. The idea behind this industry is to create moments that captivate everyone watching. However, he added with concern, “Having said that, in 2024, we should do away with headshots. That’s my final word on it. If there are alternatives, we should explore them. For instance, in the past, Raven has hit me with a chair in such a way that it was as though a fly had landed on my head, causing no harm. It’s important to note that the effect of the chair hit isn’t solely about the impact itself. It’s about the fall, and the feeling of vulnerability when one is held captive and forced to take a blow to the head.”

As previously covered here on eWn, a stage prop was used to ensure the chair shot was safe.
