There have been recent rumors of Nia Jax potentially returning to WWE in the near future.
On a recent edition of the “Wrestlebinge” podcast, Jax teased a match with Rhea Ripley provided she returns to WWE for a second stint.
Jax was released from WWE in 2021 but made a surprise appearance in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match. Jax said,
“Rhea’s doing a great job. She’s kind of this rise. She might need to be knocked down a couple pegs. I think she’s incredible. She’s so talented. I mean, I saw her when she first came up on the main roster. I even saw her in NXT. She’s got such a long list of talents she can do. I really enjoy watching her, especially standing up to the guys. I’ve had a match with Rhea once before, and she busted my eye open, so maybe I have to get a little payback. I don’t know, I think we’d have a good dogfight in there.”
In a recent interview with Kayla Braxton, Rey Mysterio addressed his United States Title victory on Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Austin Theory “injured” Santos Escobar before their title match on SmackDown. This led to Mysterio replacing Escobar and defeating Theory to win the United States Championship. Mysterio said,
“Today was a roller coaster ride from the moment I arrived to the moment which is now. I was so angry, and my frustration and my anger took over that when I went out and had that match with Austin, I wasn’t really thinking about the final consequence, which is [being United States Champion]. My team, the LWO, this ain’t my title. This is our title. This is the LWO’s title. Oh my god, this is our unity right here. This is what unites us together. When you have guys like Austin Theory, which we all run across at some point in our lifetime, you have to put an end to that, and I think tonight was the perfect night to put an end to Austin Theory.”
