Next week’s WWE NXT episode is all set to feature several much-anticipated matches and segments. This information was disclosed on July 16, 2024.
In a recent episode, Brooks Jensen found Ava and used the opportunity to explain his recent rash actions, which had occurred both within the confines of the Capitol Wrestling Center and on social platforms. Although his behaviour had been questionable, someone, later revealed to be Josh Briggs, stood up for him. Ava, along with Shawn Michaels, agreed to give Jensen a second chance.
However, Jensen soon assaulted Je’Von Evans, effectively sidelining him from the main tag team event. Despite this change of events, there’s a possibility of a match between Evans and Jensen, if Evans is medically cleared for the ring. This match has been organized by Ava.
Simultaneously, Briggs approached Ava with a request for a match against Shawn Spears, seeking retribution for past altercations. This request might translate into a fight scheduled for the upcoming week.
Elsewhere, Ridge Holland managed to influence Chase University to allot Thea Hail a bout against Izzi Dame (which Hail triumphantly won by submission). Simultaneously, Duke Hudson obtained a championship match against Oba Femi for the NXT North American Championship in the coming week. Hudson’s initial skepticism over the match shifted to a competitive enthusiasm upon Femi’s trash talk.
In a surprising turn of events, Wes Lee, on the verge of retiring, was interrupted by former team members, Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel from TNA Wrestling. The trio, known as The Rascalz, used this opportune meeting to reconvene and consequently clashed with Gallus. This encounter reignited Lee’s past feud with Joe Coffey, setting up an intense six-man tag team match for next week.
As a recap, see below for the highlighted segments set for next week’s NXT:
- NXT North American Championship: Oba Femi vs. Duke Hudson
- Six-Man Tag Team Match: The Rascalz (Wes Lee, Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) fights Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang)
