The backstage issues among AEW talents continue to exist despite the company’s best efforts to resolve them.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there’s been no progress on resolving issues between certain talents in AEW, especially when it comes to them working together.
The biggest issue involves CM Punk and The Elite following the backstage fight at AEW All Out 2023 last year.
The report states that several different legal issues are “still ongoing” and no one is allowed to talk publicly or contact the other side to discuss matters.
While AEW isn’t closer to resolving the matter, things are said to be more “reasonable” at the moment.
At least one individual involved in the conflict is ready to apologize. It’s unknown if that is Punk himself as it’s unclear what his next course of action is.
One source stated that while Punk should be the first to apologize, he shouldn’t be the only one as every individual involved must apologize.
Meanwhile, Mercedes Mone has seemingly helped boost ticket sales for NJPW Resurgence next weekend. The upcoming event currently has 1,774 tickets out. An additional 500 tickets were sold after NJPW announced that Mone would appear.
Former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley has also been announced for NJPW Resurgence.
