In the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, a surprising revelation rocked the WWE universe. Nick Aldis, the SmackDown GM, declared the introduction of a novel Women’s United States Championship.
This championship lends great significance, as it’s the very first secondary championship dedicated exclusively for female wrestlers in the main roster arena. While it was revealed that the inaugural winner for this title will be announced at a future event, the procedure of this crowning was not outlined.
In a noteworthy moment for mixed brand competitiveness, Michael Cole stated that this new title is set to be defended in both RAW and SmackDown platforms.
Triple H took to social media to acknowledge the incredible strides made by female WWE wrestlers. He tweeted, “The women of WWE continue to show that they are the very best in the business. The Women’s United States Championship will showcase their continued effort. So, who’s going to step up and take it?”
In a subsequent tweet from WWE on TNT Sports, images of the fresh Women’s United States Championship were unveiled.
Finally, Triple H’s tweet challenged the WWE women wrestlers, asking whose turn is this to shine brighter.
