New NXT Women’s Title Challengers Emerge, Rhea Ripley Wins Six-Man Tag

Wednesday’s episode of NXT opened with a bang, as Rhea Ripley made her entrance to briefly brag about winning the NXT Women’s Championship. Ripley was quickly interrupted by Toni Storm, however, who congratulated the champion before saying that once she wins the NXT UK Women’s Championship back, she wants a shot at Ripley.

From there, a handful of NXT superstars – including Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, and Candice LeRae – all came out to the ring, before a large brawl took place. As the brawl continued, it was announced that all superstars would be pit in a six-person tag team match, which Ripley was able to come as the winner of.

LeRae lands a dive. Belair gets a near fall on Storm after a bodyslam. Belair beats Storm into the corner. LeRae catches Belair with a missile dropkick. Ray tags in and superkicks LeRae after a distraction by Shirai. Shirai knocks Belair off the apron as she hits the ropes for a dropkick. Belair is pissed. The heels take turns working over LeRae. Belair accidentally knocks Shirai off the apron. LeRae manages to tag in Storm. Storm German suplexes Ray for a near fall. Shirai tags in and crushes Storm in the corner with a double knee strike. Shirai goes up for a moonsault but Belair tags herself in. Belair picks up Storm for the KOD. Shirai springboard dropkicks Belair. Ripley hits the Riptide on Belair for the win!
