At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19, the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships will take center stage in a Tokyo Terror Ladder Match.
As per NJPW’s announcement, reigning champions, the Intergalactic Jet Setters, will put their titles on the line against the duo of the Ichiban Sweet Boys, Catch 2/2, and the team of Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney. It’s important to note that this marks the inception of a Ladder Match at the Tokyo Dome.

“A Ladder Match terrorizes Tokyo at Wrestle Kingdom!
Tokyo Dome hosts its first ever Ladder Match at WK19
The seemingly chaotic scene surrounding the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships has now amped up to an even higher level of frenzy, as it integrates a massive stipulation for January 4th.
Following a tag team preview in Korakuen Hall for Ichiban Sweet Boys and the Intergalactic Jet Setters, which saw Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney employ steel chairs, Catch 2/2 stirred things up. In a sudden turn of events, chairs were supplemented with tables and ladders, thus paving the way for Kosei Fujita to propose a ladder match. As winners of the Super Jr. Tag League, he, along with Robbie Eagles, demonstrated willingness to go to any lengths at the Tokyo Dome. KUSHIDA and Kevin Knight agreed, and now, a Tokyo Terror Ladder Match is slated for Wrestle Kingdom 19!
In this rule-free environment, the winners must obtain the junior tag belts suspended from the Tokyo Dome ceiling. What level of intensity and drama can we expect from this inaugural Tokyo Dome Ladder Match scheduled for January 4?”
In related news, at Wrestle Dynasty 2025, the Sons of Texas will put their ROH World Tag Team Championships on the line against Yoshinobu Kanemaru & SHO from House of Torture during the kickoff show.
Below is the related announcement:
“Kickoff Match 2: ROH Tag Team Championships- Sammy Guevara & Dustin Rhodes vs HOUSE OF TORTURE (Yoshinobu Kanemaru & SHO)
The second match-up of the night will feature the ROH Tag Team Championships defended on Japanese soil for the first time in six years, with Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara taking on Yoshinobu Kanemaru and SHO.
The blend of Rhodes’ experience and Guevara’s youthful vitality has made this pair a formidable team, but can they overcome the House of Torture? While some suggest the House should be locked away behind the Forbidden Door, Rhodes and Guevara are resolute in retaining their tag gold. Additionally, with Rhodes marking his return to the Tokyo Dome — a familiar location dating back to his 1993 matches — he plans to make this a triumphant and memorable comeback to the ‘Big Egg’.”
