New IWGP World Champion Crowned At NJPW Sakura Genesis

At Saturday’s NJPW Sakura Genesis event, SANADA defeated Kazuchika Okada to become the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.

The finish saw SANADA go over with his Deadfall finisher. This marks his first reign as the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. 

The title change ended Okada’s second reign with the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at 95 days.
