During the WWE SummerSlam 2024 pay-per-view event that took place on Saturday night, LA Knight triumphed over Logan Paul and went on to snag the United States Championship. The defeat occurred in Cleveland, OH, Paul’s own city.
According to reports from Fightful Select, the severe tumble that Paul took during a superplex spot from atop the rope was not premeditated. Fortunately, it has been reported that Paul is “doing okay” post the hazardous fall.
Internal discussions increased that Paul was expected to forfeit his title following some inflammatory remarks he produced about Olympic boxer Imane Khelif. Although Paul withdrew his comments, the repercussions were already set in motion.
Paul’s contentious tweet read, “This is the purest form of evil unfolding right before your eyes. A man was allowed to beat up a woman on a global stage, crushing her life’s dream while fighting for her deceased father. This delusion must end.”
The report emphasized that Paul’s recently aired opinions on social media platforms do not align with WWE’s beliefs. Furthermore, the WWE has primarily remained silent in response to Paul’s comments.
Interestingly, during the post-show media scrum on Saturday night, Triple H highly commended Logan Paul, pointing out that he was “a little banged up.”
