Kimber Lee (Kimberly Frankele) was arrested on May 11, 2023, in Sebring, Florida, and charged with DUI, resisting a Law Enforcement Officer with violence and battery.
Lee had a pre-trial hearing earlier today, and Pwinsider reports that the former Impact Wrestling talent has a new pre-trial hearing set for November 28th in Highlands County Court.
Lee announced her retirement from wrestling on May 6, five days before her arrest.
As we previously reported here on eWn, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch is facing 26 years in prison for the DUI manslaughter plea deal over a car accident in March of 2022 in Ormand Beach, Florida. During that accident, 75-year-old Julian Lasseter was killed.
Sytch was named in lawsuits filed by the estate of Julian Lasseter as well as Jane Olivova over the March 2022 collision that resulted in Lasseter’s death. Olivova was a passenger in another car that was impacted during the accident.
The lawsuit filed by the Lasseter estate has lost a defendant, as the estate filed a motion on September 12th for the lawsuit against Ultimate Motor Cars, LLC, who sold Sytch the car, to be dismissed with prejudice.
While this could suggest a settlement, the same has yet to be confirmed, and the court has yet to respond to the motion.
In addition to Ultimate Motor Cars, Sytch and her fiancé James Pente were named as defendants in the lawsuit which was originally filed just against Sytch and Pente but Ultimate Motor was added later. No court hearings are set in that matter.
The lawsuit from Olivova had been filed against Sytch, Pente, and Geico, the latter being the plaintiff’s insurance company.
An amended lawsuit was filed in July that now only lists Geico as a defendant, denoting that Sytch and Pente have been dropped from the case.
Sytch struck a plea deal on the criminal charges and will be sentenced next month.
