According to reports from Fightful Select, Netflix has opted out of producing another season of the OVW-focused reality series, Wrestlers.
The streaming giant, post the airing of Wrestlers, held the right of first refusal for future OVW programs. However, they have let the opportunity lapse, leading to the conclusion that Wrestlers would not be making a comeback.
Earlier on, there had been a dialog between Netflix and OVW regarding numerous concepts, one of which encompassed a live event being streamed on the digital platform.
During these discussions, Netflix was considering the expansion into streaming live events. To test this new venture, they experimented initially with a Chris Rock show and a Love is Blind special.
