Myron Reed plans on being the better man at MLW Fightland.

Myron Reed took part in a pre-show media scrum ahead of MLW Fightland in Philadelphia, and the current MLW Middleweight Champion was asked about having the deck stacked against him against three other opponents. Reed said

“I like to look at it like this — [the deck] is stacked against all of us, so I’ve just got to be the better man in this situation. And that’s what I do every time. That’s Young GOAT sh-t, man, you know?”

Reed was also asked about who he emulates or if he tries to create his own style. Reed said earlier in his career he could see where taking cues from your peers worked, but wrestlers really need to do what they can to stand on their own as they climb the ladder of success.

“I’ve been doing this for almost six years and the first two years, I would say it was more of just wrestling your idols, so I’m like [I want to be like him], but once you get to the bigger stage you start to realize the more you separate yourself, the bigger the opportunities are going to be for you. If you’re looking like this guy or wrestling like this guy, [promoters think] ‘OK, well I can just go get this guy.’ You’ve got to be different. It’s a must.”
