During the recent AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam extravaganza, Tony Schiavone was seen interviewing Prince Nana concerning the health status of the notable Swerve Strickland. Nana expressed optimism, but emphasized that it’s not yet the appropriate time for Swerve to return to the ring, saying, “Swerve is precious to me. In terms of his mental strength, nothing could possibly hinder the most formidable competitor in AEW. But his physical condition doesn’t permit him to make a comeback yet. However, he battles each day, for each and every fan out there.”
To everyone’s astonishment, the event was disrupted with the entrance of MVP, marking his debut in All Elite Wrestling, taking control of the situation.
MVP passionately praised Swerve, acknowledging his various triumphs and the impressive 8-month winning streak. At the same time, he pointed out the downfalls such as the loss of the title and the unfortunate incident of Strickland’s childhood home being destroyed by fire. He provocatively queried,
“Could somebody explain to me why the guy who took Swerve’s title is nonchalantly boasting about it? And the person responsible for setting his childhood home on fire, why is he not languishing in the ICU? None of these setbacks, in my opinion, reflect negatively on Swerve. I know his worth. These incidents, to my mind, highlight the inefficiency of his management- management that seems more invested in peddling coffee and entertaining these fans with superfluous dance moves than addressing serious business. I don’t mean to cause a stir, but when Swerve feels the need to be taken seriously, to rise to the pedestal he deserves, do pass him my business card and let him know that I am keen on discussing BUSINESS.”
In the light of this unexpected offer by MVP, the question arises – will Swerve Strickland step away from Prince Nana to join MVP in a new incarnation of The Hurt Business? Tell us what you think and share your prognostications in the comment section!
