Recent wrestling news has been buzzing with the possibility of MVP and Bobby Lashley leaving WWE when their agreements wrap up. The word on the street is that both MVP and Lashley might sign up with AEW and reignite The Hurt Business alongside co-wrestler Shelton Benjamin. Utilizing the group’s moniker could be an issue, however, due to WWE’s existing ownership of the Hurt Business trademark.

Details circulating suggest that MVP’s contractual timeline concludes in the middle of August, and there’s no word about any talks on a probable extension. Lashley’s contract also sees its conclusion around the same timeframe.

MVP shed light on his wrestling journey in a recent Instagram post, stating,

“I came back so my baby boy could see ‘Daddy’ in a WWE ring. ‘The Royal Rumble.’ That was my only objective. A one-off. I was thinking of calling it a day. But then, they proposed an offer to be a producer. Right when the pandemic struck. I ended up juggling being a producer and a commentator for Main Event. Then I was requested to suit up and aid with TV during the ‘PC Era’. At one RAW episode, ‘MVP’ was featured in NINE segments! Heyman consented to pair me up with Roberto. Subsequently, I agreed to a full-time talent contract. Post that, we created history. Such an exhilarating journey!!!!”

From 2005 to 2010, MVP’s career with WWE saw him gain two United States Champion titles and one as a Tag Team Champion.
