Mustafa Ali, a former wrestler for WWE, recently hinted at a potential return in the future.
Ali’s journey in WWE came to a halt when the company released him in September 2023. Since then, the athlete has been involved in the indie wrestling scene and even had a tour with TNA.
Ali opened up about the chances of his WWE comeback during his guesting on the popular “Insight” podcast. Below are some notable points he shared during the podcast:
About his supposed comeback, Ali shared, “I believe there are numerous routes to take, yes. The fact is, our relationship remains amicable. The shift to Netflix is an intriguing development that offers new opportunities – it’s hard to say how much the show will change regarding the dynamics, ratings, or guidelines they will follow.”
Ali also acknowledged the flourishing state of the company, which might have an impact on his return: “Considering how well the company is faring, I genuinely believe there’s a way back in. We keep good communication, and even when my contract ended, the exchange was cordial with kind messages shared. Ultimately, the decision is mine. If I proved profitable and a good fit for their vision, the possibility exists. In wrestling, everything revolves around being at the right place at the right time. If circumstances align – the company’s direction and mine – I believe everything will fall into place at the right time.”
