As previously reported, The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Hangman Page) have each signed new multi-year deals with AEW.
All of their deals were slated to expire at the end of this year, and they reportedly had interest from WWE.
Fightful Select reports that the entire group was expected to stay with All Elite Wrestling throughout the process. Regarding the length of the deals, one of the wrestlers’ deals was for “at least four years. Barry Bloom represented all four.
AEW had the deals signed over the last few weeks. WWE sources indicated they would’ve had an interest in all members of the group, but serious talks were never engaged.
Fightful has heard there is some “movement” on the potential of them facing FTR in a long-awaited rematch, but nothing about a feud with The Elite and CM Punk. CM Punk’s return did cause a slowdown as things were being discussed involving his return and how things would work out.
