More Details On Circumstances Leading To Zelina Vega’s Release

More information has come to light regarding the release of Zelina Vega, with two recent reports diving into the details surrounding what happened before Vega was released.
According to a recent report from PWinsider.com, Vega was informed that she was being released just prior to tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown taping. Several minutes before the release was made official, Vega tweeted out her support of unionization, a likely nod to the fact that WWE has made talent give control to their Twitch and other social media accounts.
In a separate report, WrestleVotes noted that frustration would be an “understatement” to describe the relationship between Vega and WWE. The account also noted that Aleister Black has also recently requested to move back to NXT, but the request was declined.
There’s a bit more behind the scenes to the Zelina Vega release. Frustration from both sides is an understatement. While it can’t be directly tied to today’s news, Aleister Black recently requested to move back to NXT and was denied. Dissension amongst the parties involved.
