Amidst the aftermath of CM Punk’s scathing verbal assault on Hangman Adam Page following last week’s episode of AEW Collision, new details have surfaced regarding Page’s absence from the event.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Adam Page was originally scheduled to participate in the Greensboro Coliseum filming for the August 12th episode of Collision. However, upon arriving at the venue, Page was informed of a location change and was subsequently advised not to attend the event at all. Dave Meltzer noted,

“Page was actually sent to Greensboro to do a pre-tape interview backstage for Wednesday’s Dynamite show and when he got there was told that they would have to do it away from the Coliseum and not to go to the show.”

Notably, this corroborates several reports that have emerged over the past week. This incident marks a series of refusals of entry to the Collision venue, including instances involving Matt Hardy and Christopher Daniels, despite Daniels holding the position of Head of Talent Relations.

CM Punk’s unscripted rant against Page, which occurred after Collision concluded, was a genuine expression of his sentiments, dispelling any notions of a planned storyline. Punk’s comments included the claim that nobody wants to buy Adam Page’s merchandise. In a recent update, CM Punk clarified that his off-air promo on Page was an attempt at comedy.

While CM Punk has maintained a prominent presence on Collision since his return, the continued exclusion of Adam Page and several others from the event has raised questions about backstage dynamics and decision-making within AEW.
